Saba Azad's Memorable TIFF Appearance
Saba Azad made a notable appearance at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the global debut of her film, Bandar, which is known as Monkey in a Cage internationally. This significant event took place recently.
Renowned for her selection of unique and impactful roles, Saba has established her niche with projects such as Rocket Boys and Songs of Paradise. Reflecting on her experience, she expressed, “Attending TIFF with Bandar is an incredibly meaningful moment. As an actor, one aspires to be part of narratives that transcend borders, and this film embodies that spirit. It presents a complex tale about individuals, their decisions, and the metaphorical cages we often create for ourselves. For me, it transcends merely walking the red carpet; it’s about presenting a work crafted with sincerity and passion. Bandar, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and directed by Anurag Kashyap, showcases a compelling vision. In addition to Saba, the film features prominent actors Bobby Deol, Sanya Malhotra, and Sapna Pabbi in key roles.
